RTX’s Christopher Calio and GE Aerospace’s Larry Culp are also among the industry leaders who will meet. Participants will consider how the certification process involving aircraft, parts and components could be streamlined.
The Department of Transportation said Duffy and FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford had previously described certification reform as an opportunity to enhance safety for the flying public and maintain America’s aerospace competitiveness. A department spokesperson said that if the process cannot be modernized, safety innovation will lag.
