Ukraine’s Navy said it used its Neptune coastal missile system to strike Borisoglebsk military air base in Russia’s Voronezh region overnight into October 15, 2026. The Navy claimed that six Su-34M fighter-bombers were destroyed.

In a later statement, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said it had confirmed that six Su-34 multirole fighter-bombers sustained damage of varying degrees at the base. The extent of the damage has not been independently established. The General Staff’s statement did not confirm the Navy’s claim that all six aircraft were destroyed.
