Lufthansa has selected Tokyo as the destination for the first commercial flight of its first Airbus A350-1000 widebody. The airline announced on October 15, 2026, that the first of 15 A350-1000s is scheduled to depart Munich on December 3, 2026, and arrive at Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND).
The aircraft is currently at the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France, and is scheduled for delivery in mid-November 2026. Lufthansa said Shanghai and Singapore will be added to its destination portfolio in the weeks after the Tokyo launch.
Lufthansa said the flights will feature its Allegris cabin and will be operated alternately by the A350-1000 and A350-900.
