A Piper JetProp DLX crashed in Wisconsin on October 13, 2026, killing five adults and a child. The aircraft went down in a wooded area in the Town of Dellona, near Wisconsin Dells.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said on October 14 that the pilot reported encountering icing at 24,000 feet and requested a descent. Air traffic control approved the descent. The aircraft then entered a descending right turn that increased in rate, after which communications and tracking data were lost. The aircraft was flying from Kenosha to Menomonie.
