SpaceX introduced speed restrictions overnight on terminals operating on its Starshield military service, without advance warning, according to Serhiy Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Beskrestnov said the limit for terminals in motion was 100 mph (160 km/h). Ukrainian officials said communications were interrupted in flight, forcing troops to cancel some drone missions.

Ukraine’s 7th Rapid Reaction Corps told Reuters that connections during flights could drop for 10–20 seconds at speeds of 110–120 km/h, making the drones harder to control. The report said the restrictions concern Starshield, rather than necessarily applying to every Starlink terminal operating in Ukraine.
