Sikorsky introduced the Nomad 100 Fast Pack, a deployment kit that places four autonomous aircraft and the equipment needed to operate them in one 20-foot shipping container. The company announced the package on October 12, 2026, saying it is designed for military crews to deploy drones from ships, vehicle staging areas and remote sites without a runway or extensive ground support.
The planned configuration would let crews prepare two aircraft for missions in less than 15 minutes, with the other two ready within four to six hours. The container also carries mission-control software, communications equipment, power supplies and equipment to keep the drones operating. The Nomad 100 takes off and lands vertically, can hover and transition to fixed-wing flight, and uses Sikorsky’s MATRIX autonomy technology.
