Ocean Affairs Council Minister Kuan Pi-ling said today that the Coast Guard Administration (CGA) will advance three major transformations: building new ships, upgrading surveillance systems and introducing unmanned vehicles. The JUMP 20 UAV and MARTAC T-24 USV will make their debut at this year's National Day parade.

The CGA stated that this year's participation is the largest since its founding, involving 2 assault boats, 1 MARTAC USV, 1 JUMP 20 UAV, plus mobile radar vehicles and infrared thermal imaging vehicles.

Kuan noted that the JUMP 20, which will be publicly revealed at National Day, has high-altitude surveillance capability with a maximum flight altitude of 17,000 meters. CGA Director-General Chung Chung-tao stated that the JUMP 20 UAV and MARTAC T-24 USV are mainly for long-range reconnaissance and long-distance rescue.
