Blackstone officially launched a new defense technology company named Falcata on October 1, 2026.

Falcata merges Technology Service Corp. (TSC), a maker of radar and missile seekers, with Applied Systems Engineering Inc. (ASEI), a developer of military navigation and flight‑control systems.

Bloomberg reported that Blackstone committed more than $1 billion in debt and equity to the acquisitions, citing people familiar with the transaction.

Brandon Wolfson will serve as CEO and Jonathan Moneymaker as chairman of the new entity.

Blackstone also expects to acquire additional companies for Falcata and noted that the firm has invested more than $20 billion in aerospace and defense over the past five years.
