According to aviation news portal AeroTime, both Airbus and Boeing are outpacing their 2025 delivery performances. So far in 2026, Airbus has delivered 475 aircraft compared to 434 at the same point last year, while Boeing has delivered 418 aircraft compared to 385 in 2025. Both manufacturers achieved these increases despite facing ongoing engine shortages and quality concerns.
Among notable deliveries, STARLUX Airlines received an Airbus A330neo on August 10, 2026, marking a resumption after inspections of the horizontal tail plane halted deliveries in June and July. Meanwhile, Boeing experienced a drop in 787 Dreamliner deliveries, handing over only four aircraft in August 2026, compared to 10 in July and 13 in June.
