The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced the Gateside program, which permits PreCheck members to pass through security checkpoints without holding a boarding pass.

The initiative is active at 13 airports across the United States, providing members with new opportunities to visit lounges, meet arriving passengers, or access other airside facilities.

Simple Flying noted that the change expands the utility of PreCheck membership beyond traditional travel scenarios.

The expansion aims to give PreCheck members more flexibility for meetups, lounge visits, and other non‑flight activities.

Simple Flying reports that the Gateside program is now operational at the selected airports.
