Embraer announced the delivery of its 2,000th E-Jet, an E195-E2, to Brazil's largest airline Azul Linhas Aéreas.

Azul Linhas Aéreas is Brazil's largest airline by number of destinations served and operates more than 140 E-Jets. It was the launch customer for the E195-E2, taking delivery of the first aircraft in 2019.
The E-Jet family is now the third most delivered commercial jet family still in production, after the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 737 family. The E2 series has accumulated 532 orders (464 for the E195-E2 and 68 for the E190-E2), with around 175 E195-E2s and 38 E190-E2s delivered, leaving a backlog of roughly 319 aircraft.
Since entering service in 2004, the E-Jet fleet serves more than 90 airlines in over 60 countries, logging about 48 million flight hours and carrying over 2.85 billion passengers. In comparison, the Airbus A220 has 1,106 orders with 532 deliveries and a 574-aircraft backlog; the Airbus A330neo has a backlog of 334; COMAC's C919 is estimated to have over 1,000 orders; and the Boeing 787 has 2,927 orders with 1,299 deliveries. The flagship E195-E2 offers a range of 3,000 nautical miles and a maximum single-class seating of 146. Porter Airlines is the largest E195-E2 operator, followed by Azul Linhas Aéreas and KLM Cityhopper.
