Qatar Airways is accepting Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured without its standard Qsuite business class cabins. According to a report by Simple Flying on September 3, 2026, the airline is offering refunds to passengers who are assigned to fly on these specific Dreamliner aircraft.
Instead of Qsuites, these Boeing 787-9 aircraft utilize Ascent business class seats, which are described as being lighter and narrower. As background, Qatar Airways previously debuted its first Starlink-equipped Boeing 787-9 in August 2026, and the carrier expects to complete the satellite internet rollout across its entire Boeing 787 fleet by the end of 2026.
