Korean Air has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Thailand's state-owned Thai Aviation Industries on September 2, 2026, at the Tech Center in Busan. The agreement focuses on collaboration in maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for military aircraft operated in Thailand.
Under the initial scope of the agreement, both entities will cooperate on depot-level maintenance for the Royal Thai Army's UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The partnership is expected to expand to other military aircraft flown by the Royal Thai Armed Forces. Korean Air will also assist Thai Aviation Industries in standardizing maintenance processes and providing technical training.
Korean Air's aerospace division began producing UH-60 helicopters in 1991. The company has performed depot-level maintenance and performance upgrades for more than 5,500 aircraft.
