Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of its fourth Airbus A350-1000 long-haul aircraft. The widebody jetliner, registered RP-C3513, touched down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila at 19:22 local time on September 2, 2026, following a delivery flight from Airbus' manufacturing facility in Toulouse, France.
The aircraft is the fourth of nine A350-1000s ordered by Philippine Airlines in 2023 as part of its ongoing fleet modernization and international route growth strategy. Philippine Airlines remains the first and sole air carrier in Southeast Asia to operate the Airbus A350-1000 variant.
Serving as the flag carrier's flagship for long-haul intercontinental routes, the A350-1000 features a 382-seat cabin arranged in a three-class layout. The onboard product includes business class suites with sliding privacy doors, alongside dedicated premium economy and enhanced economy class passenger cabins. The aircraft type is currently deployed on key transpacific and international long-haul routes including San Francisco, New York, and Toronto.
The delivery forms part of a broader fleet expansion framework for Philippine Airlines. During the Farnborough International Airshow in June 2026, the carrier signed Memoranda of Understanding for nine additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft with purchase rights for five more, as well as 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners with options for an additional five aircraft. Deliveries under these expansion commitments are expected to run through 2036.
Philippine Airlines holds APEX Four Star airline status and was recognized by Cirium for achieving the highest on-time performance among Asia-Pacific carriers in 2025. In 2026, the carrier received an official invitation to join the oneworld global airline alliance, strengthening its global partnership network.
