A STARLUX Airlines Airbus A350-1000 aircraft featuring the special "Sorayama Gold" livery arrived at Václav Havel Airport Prague at approximately 9:00 AM Czech time on September 1, 2026. The airport marked the arrival of the flagship aircraft with a traditional water cannon salute. The long-range jet represents part of the carrier's STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA project created in collaboration with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.
Radomír Lašák, Chief Executive Officer of Václav Havel Airport Prague, welcomed the carrier at a press conference, highlighting the significance of the arrival for the airport. STARLUX Airlines spokesperson Liang Wen-long stated that Prague serves as the airline's initial gateway in Europe and marks a key milestone in its global route network expansion, noting that deploying the custom-painted flagship aircraft on the route will enhance the passenger travel experience.
The STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA A350-1000 flagship aircraft features a total of 350 seats configured across four travel classes, comprising 4 First Class seats, 40 Business Class seats, 36 Premium Economy seats, and 270 Economy seats. Pavel Schoustal, Director of the Czech Tourism Authority Japan & Taiwan Office, noted that STARLUX entered the direct Taiwan-Czech route on August 1, with daily flight connectivity expected to stimulate reciprocal tourism and business travel between the regions.
According to historical records, this second A350-1000 art aircraft arrived at Taoyuan International Airport on August 16, 2026, following its acceptance in France. The aircraft was subsequently deployed on the Taipei-Tokyo Narita route on August 20, joining the previously delivered "Sorayama Silver" aircraft to form a dual-liveried flagship fleet assigned to scheduled international services.
