Boeing and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) announced a collaboration on September 1, 2026, to introduce Boeing’s Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) Learning Library solution across flight training organizations in Thailand. CAAT becomes the first aviation regulator to implement the CBTA Learning Library solution across an entire flight training ecosystem.
According to Boeing, Southeast Asia will require an estimated 66,000 new pilots over the next 20 years. Chris Broom, vice president of Boeing Commercial Training Solutions, stated that the partnership will equip future pilots with essential knowledge and competencies for modern aviation operations. CAAT Personnel Licensing Department Manager Iratrachar Amornpipat noted that leveraging Boeing's solution represents an important step in advancing pilot training standards across Thailand.
