According to a report published by Simple Flying on August 30, 2026, a FlyArystan Airbus A320 aircraft (ICAO type code A320) caught fire while undergoing maintenance at Almaty Airport (ALA). The fire incident occurred as the aircraft was subjected to scheduled routine maintenance procedures on site.

During the maintenance operations, smoke and a visible glow were observed emanating from the aircraft's nose gear bay, which immediately interrupted the ongoing routine servicing work. Following the detection of smoke and fire in the nose gear bay, emergency response crews moved in quickly to address the situation.
