The Civil Aeronautics Administration of Taiwan is advancing the Kaohsiung Airport new terminal project, with a total planned investment of NT$88.08 billion. The project will construct a new centralized terminal in two phases to handle an annual capacity of 16.5 million passengers. The CAA and its engineering teams are currently pushing forward with detailed design work for the main terminal building.
The project is being implemented using a phased approach of building before demolition while maintaining normal airport operations. Phase 1-1 works, including the eastern multi-story parking lot design-build project and the relocation of Taxiway A to the north, are under construction. The tender for Phase 1-2 station front traffic improvement project was posted on July 21.
