STARLUX Airlines announced that it will adjust its excess baggage fee structure starting September 1, 2026. The carrier will replace its current two-tier system of 150 USD for short-haul routes and 200 USD for long-haul routes with a three-zone pricing model, with fees ranging between 150 USD and 280 USD per piece. The new rate policy will apply to passenger tickets issued or changed on or after September 1.
Under the revised framework, Zone 1 covers Guam and Asia excluding Taiwan and South Asia. Zone 2 includes five U.S. West Coast destinations—Los Angeles, Ontario, San Francisco, Seattle, and Phoenix—as well as Canada, South Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. Zone 3 encompasses all other U.S. destinations, Europe, Africa, and Central and South America. Passengers pre-purchasing extra baggage allowance online at least three hours prior to departure will receive a 20 percent discount.
