Alaska Airlines has announced it will launch new nonstop service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to both Athens International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in spring 2027. Flights to Athens, operated as flight AS196, will begin on May 12, 2027, with three weekly departures. Flights to Paris, designated as flight AS136, are scheduled to start on May 25, 2027, running five times per week.
Both transatlantic routes will be operated using the airline's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Tickets for the new services were placed on sale on August 20, 2026. Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci noted that the carrier aims to expand its Seattle network to operate more than 12 international long-haul routes in the coming years.
