The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the 2026 IATA Cargo Experts Conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on September 23–24, 2026. Held under the theme "From Expertise to Execution," the event will focus on practical methods to enhance daily air cargo operations through global standards, technology, and data.

The conference will feature three specialized tracks covering digital cargo, safety and security, and pharmaceutical operations. Key discussion topics include advancing the adoption of IATA's ONE Record data standard, addressing risks associated with dangerous goods and undeclared lithium batteries, and strengthening cold-chain ground handling through real-time data compliance.

Brendan Sullivan, IATA's Global Head of Cargo, stated that effective operations are essential for businesses whose customers depend on reliable daily deliveries. The conference aims to bring industry experts together to address common operational challenges.
