China Airlines announced on August 20 that it will launch a new tableware collection for its premium business class starting September 1. The new service will feature red plum blossom design motifs and will be introduced on routes including Frankfurt, Prague, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland.
The airline partnered with Taiwanese design brand JIA Inc. to develop the collection, which comprises over 30 individual items including main course plates, multi-functional dishes, stainless steel cutlery, and glassware.
Key elements in the new lineup include a gourd-shaped two-in-one butter dish and chopstick rest, red lantern-shaped salt and pepper shakers, and a propeller-inspired three-in-one spoon combining a dessert spoon, tea spoon, and butter knife.
