According to news reporting from Simple Flying, two individual commercial passenger aircraft suffered blown tires at O'Hare International Airport within hours of each other overnight. The incidents involved a United Airlines Airbus A320 (ICAO type code A320) aircraft and an American Airlines Boeing 737 jetliner operating at the airport.
The burst tires forced both of the veteran aircraft to be taken out of service overnight following the occurrences. Passengers aboard the affected flights were shuttled directly to airport terminals, while both jetliners remained out of service for necessary maintenance and technical evaluations overnight.
