Heart Aerospace's X1 demonstrator aircraft completed a 27-minute test flight at Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) on August 13. During the test, the all-electric demonstrator reached an altitude of 1,100 feet with its propulsion system delivering over one megawatt of power.
The flight mission was conducted under a Special Airworthiness Certificate Experimental Category issued by the Federal Aviation Administration in July. The testing evaluated operational phases including taxi, takeoff, climb, maneuvering, and landing.
Heart Aerospace is also developing the 30-seat ES-30 hybrid-electric regional airliner at its facility in Los Angeles. Flight testing for the ES-30 is scheduled to begin in 2028, with commercial entry into service targeted for 2031.
