According to reporting by aviation news outlet Simple Flying, a baggage container caught fire on the airport apron shortly before it was due to be loaded onto a British Airways Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The fire broke out on the ground in the apron area just moments before the aircraft was scheduled to begin its pushback from the position.
The safety event occurred during pre-flight ground handling operations, directly involving a baggage container intended for the flight prior to the aircraft starting its pushback procedure.
The container caught fire right before loading, while the British Airways aircraft remained stationary on the apron.
