The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) of Taiwan hosted the 2026 Aviation Security Symposium on August 14, 2026. The event brought together industry and official representatives to share operational insights, respond to evolving global threats, and strengthen domestic aviation security capabilities.

Discussions focused on four core themes: global aviation security resilience, smart airport security, embedding a strong security culture, and the cargo security outlook for the new cargo park at Taoyuan International Airport. Participants included representatives from the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board, the Aviation Police Bureau, Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, and Evergreen Air Cargo Services.

CAA Director General Ho Shu-ping stated that aviation security requires close coordination between the civil aviation authority, police forces, and industry partners. She emphasized that security resilience refers to the ability to recover rapidly from incidents, requiring ongoing hardware smartification and commitment from personnel across all roles.
