American Airlines has completed the ferry flight of its first retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft, returning the jet back to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport . The commercial aircraft had been positioned in Hong Kong, where it underwent an extensive cabin retrofit and overhaul program that lasted for eight months.

Following the completion of this eight-month overhaul in Hong Kong, the thirteen-year-old aircraft has returned to the United States. The refurbished jet is equipped with several upgraded cabin features for passengers, which include larger entertainment screens, wireless Bluetooth pairing capabilities, and individual privacy doors.
