JetBlue has cancelled two flights between Boston and Barcelona within a week due to crew shortages.
The affected services, identified as flight B6 345 on August 6 and August 8, were cancelled because pilots were delayed while deadheading from New York JFK (JFK) to Boston.
The delays in the domestic positioning flights were reportedly caused by congestion and disruption in the Northeast US airspace system, leaving crews unable to operate the transatlantic sector within legal duty limits.
JetBlue also reported a four-hour delay for a Boston-Paris Charles de Gaulle service on August 10, attributed to crew shortages and fatigue-related sickness absences.
