An Emirates Airbus A380 landed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta for the first time on August 8, 2026. The double-decker aircraft carried the AC Milan squad back to Italy following the football club's pre-season tour friendly against Chelsea FC in Indonesia.

Majid Alfalasi, Emirates Country Manager for Indonesia, stated that the airline was proud to bring the A380 to Jakarta for the first time while flying AC Milan home. The aircraft arrived in Jakarta on August 8 and departed shortly after midnight the following day. Emirates currently operates 14 weekly flights between Jakarta and Dubai, as well as two daily flights between I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar and Dubai.
