Chunghwa Telecom announced on August 10, 2026, that it has partnered with organizations including Point Click and NALEFLY to launch the Chiayi Asia UAV Logistics Plan. The initiative establishes a drone logistics demonstration zone across Taibao City and Puzi City in Chiayi County, showcasing automated drone meal delivery services during the 2026 Chiayi County Drone Day event.
Supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Department of Industrial Technology, the project has completed nearly 1,200 delivery tasks, logging approximately 120 flight hours and 1,100 kilometers. Chunghwa Telecom also established Taiwan's first 5G aerial corridor and introduced multi-drone control technology allowing single-operator monitoring to improve operational efficiency.
