The British overseas territory of Gibraltar launched its own aircraft registry on August 4, 2026, following the signing of an agreement between the territorial government and Aviation Registry Group. Aircraft registered under the new registry will be assigned the "VP-G" registration prefix.

The new registry is not yet open for business and must first complete an audit conducted by the Gibraltar Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Established in 2024 and active since February 2026, the GCAA operates under the supervision of the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Aircraft owners are expected to be eligible to apply for registration in Gibraltar before the end of 2026. Aviation Registry Group, headed by David Colindres, also manages the aircraft registries of Aruba and San Marino.
