Florida-based cargo and charter operator National Airlines completed a nonstop flight between Prestwick Airport (PIK (PIK)) in Scotland and Melbourne , Australia, on August 4, 2026. Flying a Boeing 777 freighter registered N795CA, the aircraft completed the 9,849 nautical mile (18,240 km) route in 19 hours and 23 minutes without intermediate stops.
The flight was operated on behalf of UK-based aviation services firm Golden Aviation. While a Boeing 777 freighter has an official full-payload range limit of 4,970 nautical miles (9,200 km), its range extends to around 9,750 nautical miles (18,000 km) when flown with a reduced payload. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, National Airlines operates nine Boeing 747-400 and four Boeing 777-200 freighters.
