Russia’s first production MC-21-310 aircraft completed its maiden flight on August 3, 2026, taking off from United Aircraft Corporation’s (UAC) facility in Irkutsk, Siberia. The aircraft remained airborne for one hour and 23 minutes, reaching a speed of 600 kilometers per hour (372 miles per hour) and an altitude of 6,000 meters (19,685 feet).

As of August 2026, the MC-21-310 is undergoing certification, with UAC officials cited by Russian media indicating that 18 aircraft are currently in different states of completion at the Irkutsk plant.
