According to report material published by Simple Flying on August 3, 2026, the operational launch brings scheduled commercial air service back to the short sector after nearly three decades of non-operation.
Under the carrier's network schedule, American Airlines plans to serve the 84-mile route with three daily flights. Operational flights on this ultra-short regional sector will be conducted using 65-seater regional jets, providing high-frequency operations for the newly restored route.
