According to a report by Simple Flying, Emirates is scheduled to operate a rare Airbus A380 flight to Jakarta next weekend. The charter service is being deployed specifically to transport a select group of European football clubs to Indonesia.
In historical fleet developments, Emirates Engineering has been advancing a multi-billion-dollar retrofit program to fully refurbish 219 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft aimed at upgrading cabin experiences across its widebody fleet.
Additionally, Emirates Engineering launched the Material Futures Studio, a six-week initiative encouraging university students to re-imagine materials from retired aircraft and convert them into new products.
