Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense released its latest tracking report on August 2 regarding military activities around the island. Between 6:00 a.m. on August 1 and 6:00 a.m. on August 2, defense authorities detected five PLA aircraft, eight PLA Navy vessels, and two official ships operating in the air and maritime space surrounding Taiwan.
According to the defense report, three of the five detected PLA aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered the southwestern air defense identification zone. In response, Taiwan's armed forces deployed combat aircraft, naval vessels, and land-based missile systems to maintain strict surveillance and handle the situation.
According to this site's statistical records, the previous tracking data recorded on August 1 included five PLA aircraft, ten PLA Navy vessels, and two official ships operating in the area.
