This flight beat Bombardier's Global 8000 record of 8 hours and 46 minutes, set on July 19, 2026, by 19 minutes. Gulfstream claims the G700 was 3.6% faster than Bombardier's flight. The Global 8000 entered service in December 2025 with a top speed of Mach 0.95, while the G700 entered service in 2024 with a top speed of Mach 0.935.
