Simple Flying reported that Gatwick's customers had a 'dry Sunday' as terminal services shut down due to a loss of running water.
The BBC also reported that Gatwick Airport was hit by a running water outage, occurring during the busy summer holiday period.
The water shortage prevented passengers from using restrooms, food outlets and cleaning services, forcing the airport to provide bottled water and temporary facilities.
Airport officials activated contingency plans, distributing bottled water, setting up temporary toilets, and working with contractors to repair the water supply system as swiftly as possible.
