Airbus Replaced A380 Composite Brackets With Aluminum Parts Without Grounding the Fleet：In 2012, cracks in A380 wing rib feet affected about half the active fleet. Airbus replaced the composite brackets with aluminum components and carried out a phased retrofit under an EASA directive while the fleet remained in service.
