Taiwan Tracks 8 PLA Aircraft and 7 Naval Vessels Around Island

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense detected eight Chinese military aircraft, seven naval vessels, and one official ship operating around the island between 6:00 a.m. on July 28 and 6:00 a.m. on July 29, 2026. According to official figures, six of the detected aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, entering northern and eastern airspace. In response, Taiwan's armed forces deployed mission aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to the military activity.
